For Private and NHS Sight Tests, and Contact Lens Aftercare

Please be aware that appointments must be confirmed by a member of staff before they are fully booked in.

We will text or email you to confirm that your requested appointment has been accepted. If you have not heard anything by the following working day, please call us on 01242 604654. If you cannot find an appointment that is suitable please also call us as not all of our appointments are made available online.


Other Appointments

Some types of appointments are not available to book online, for example Contact Lens Assessments. This is because we need some extra information from you and time to order in any necessary trial lenses. If you’d like to book a Contact Lens Assessment, give us a call on 01242 604654.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment for whatever reason and your appointment is within the next few working days, please call us to give us the best chance of filling your appointment slot. If your appointment is not imminent, let us know via phone or email.


Failed Appointments

An Optician and any necessary clinical equipment are booked out for the duration of your appointment, so failure to attend means lost clinical resources at the expense of someone else in need as well as the practice. As such, if you fail to attend an appointment and wish to rebook you will be asked to pre-pay a deposit of £45, which equates to the cost of the private sight test. If you are entitled to an NHS-funded test and you attend your appointment, this fee will be refunded to you, otherwise this will cover the cost.
