Our hours are now back to being full days (half days Thursdays and Saturdays) and we are now allowed to do routine eye exams!
We are following the government guidelines to guarantee you the same level of service and care as before while adding additional protection.
Things we are doing…
We will wash and sanitise our hands, wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and respect physical distance where possible.
We have a locked door policy. This is in place to reduce the amount of people that are able to come into the practice to make sure we are able to keep social distancing requirements.
We will wipe down every contact surface between patients. Such as door handles, seats, pens, desks, optometry equipment and payment terminals.
We have designated the first appointment of the day for shielded or vulnerable patients to try and reduce the risk. If you come under this category please let us know so we can offer you these appointments.
We have increased our appointment times so we have more time to wipe down between patients and to try and reduce patients meeting each other on the way out.
We are also trying to reduce the amount of time we see you face to face by asking history and symptom questions before your appointment. We will do this either by phone a few days before your appointment or via an online form cotswoldeyecare.co.uk/onlineform, this will take about 5-10 mins.
Things we will kindly ask you to do…
If you experience any symptoms such as a fever, cough or sudden loss of taste or smell please cancel or postpone your visit. For more information about COVID-19 please visit http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/
Please try to make an advance appointment and avoid walk in visits. This is essential so that we can manage the amount of people we have in the practice at one time. (This also includes collections, repairs and adjustments.)
Please try and visit alone if you are able to or let us know in advance if you need to bring someone.
When you come for your appointment please try and arrive exactly when the time is so there is less likely hood of patients crossing over.
Please come wearing a mask or some sort of face covering for your appointment.
When you arrive at the practice if we haven’t spotted you at the door please first try knocking, if that doesn’t work we now have a doorbell. You will be guided by a member of the practice. Please do not wander around or touch our frame collection unless you are with a member of our team.
If you are trying on frames with a member of our team please put any frames you have touched into the specially designated tray so we are able to disinfect them.
If possible we would prefer contact-less card or chip and pin payments rather than cash. We also are able to take Apple pay.
We are no longer able to provide magazines in the waiting area but please feel free to bring your own.
